Pockels Cells | EKSMA OPTICS

KD*P, KTP/RTP and BBO Pockels Cells for Q-switching of the laser cavity, cavity dumping of the mode-locked lasers, for injection and extraction of the laser pulses into and from regenerative amplifiers and for beam chopping applications. Most popular BBO and DKDP Pockels cells are available ex-stock for fast off-the-shelf delivery. Custom made Pockels cells are available on request.

Description

Features & Benefits:

High Electro-Optic Coefficient: KTP crystals exhibit a high electro-optic coefficient, making them highly responsive to changes in the applied voltage. This property allows for rapid modulation of light passing through the crystal.
Wide Transparency Range: KTP Pockels cells have a wide transparency range, typically from the ultraviolet (UV) to the near-infrared (NIR) region of the electromagnetic spectrum. This broad range makes them suitable for various wavelengths.
Nonlinear Optical Properties: KTP crystals also have nonlinear optical properties, which can be advantageous for applications like optical parametric oscillators (OPOs) and frequency conversion.
Low Absorption: These Pockels cells typically have low absorption coefficients, ensuring minimal energy loss and high transmission of incident light.
