Laser safety eyewear for 1064 nm lasers | Laservision
Laservision laser safety eyewear for configurations that include 1064 nm emission, including Nd:YAG, fibre and disk lasers. The filter and frame are selected from the actual laser parameters and the protection marking established by the risk assessment.
Radiation at 1064 nm is invisible and lies in the near-infrared. The absence of visible glare is not evidence that the hazard is absent, and reflections from workpieces, fixtures or optical components must be considered when assessing exposure.
Laservision offers filter-and-frame combinations for Nd:YAG, fibre and disk laser applications. One representative configuration is F42P1P18: an over-the-glasses frame paired with the P1P18 absorption filter. The manufacturer lists EN 207 certification and approximately 47% visible light transmission for this configuration; suitability for a specific laser system must nevertheless be confirmed from the complete marking and the protection calculation.

Information required for selection
- wavelength or wavelength range, including harmonics and alignment beams;
- continuous-wave power or pulse energy, pulse duration and repetition rate;
- beam diameter, divergence, working distance and reasonably foreseeable accessible exposure;
- operating mode and protection marking required by the risk assessment;
- visibility, colour recognition, prescription-eyewear compatibility and comfort requirements.
SAFETY NOTE: Wavelength alone does not define suitable eyewear. Never look directly into a beam, and do not use PPE as a substitute for engineered controls.
