Bodor AQu – 1200–3000 W handheld laser welding system

Bodor AQu is an industrial handheld laser welding platform available in 1200, 1500, 2000 and 3000 W versions. It combines full-rated laser power, intuitive control, wire feeding and a pathway to cutting, cleaning or automated integration, depending on the selected configuration.

Description

A production platform, not only a portable welder

The Bodor AQu Series covers applications ranging from thin sheet to joints that require higher laser power. Four versions allow the system to be selected around the material, thickness, joint geometry and target production rate, reducing the risk of over- or undersizing the investment.

Speed, fusion depth and weld appearance

For thin sheet, Bodor reports welding speeds of up to 190 cm/min on 1 mm steel under reference conditions. The maximum fusion depths are up to 4, 5, 6 and 8 mm for the 1200, 1500, 2000 and 3000 W variants respectively. These figures are application-dependent and should be validated on the customer’s parts.

Extended functions and automation readiness

Depending on the ordered options, AQu can support continuous welding, spot welding and fish-scale-style seams, as well as auxiliary cutting or cleaning. Reserved external-control I/O supports connection to automation equipment, making AQu suitable for companies planning a gradual move from manual operation to semi-automated or integrated production.
