Description
The PCA 200 portable contact angle goniometer from DataPhysics Instruments is a portable device designed for autonomous and mobile measurement of the surface energy of solid surfaces. Its lightweight design and intuitive interface make it an ideal instrument for surface analysis in production and quality control.
Key Features
Mobile and standalone device: As a compact and portable device, the PCA 200 can be used directly on site, wherever needed. Thanks to the integrated computer and software, it can operate as a wireless and autonomous measurement solution.
Live view display: Before measurement, the device display provides a live view of the surface to be analyzed. This feature allows for visual inspection and position adjustment to ensure that each measurement is performed exactly at the desired location. After measurement, the device immediately displays the obtained values on the screen.
Measurement with two test liquids: The PCA 200 can simultaneously dispense the test liquids diiodomethane and water and directly measure their contact angles on the solid sample. This allows surface energy to be determined at the press of a button, increasing work process efficiency.
Rapid determination of surface energy: The PCA 200 quickly and reliably determines the surface energy of samples using established interaction models (OWRK and Wu models). These models enable a detailed analysis of the polar and dispersive components of surface energy.
Long operating time: With a powerful lithium-ion battery, the PCA 200 is equipped for extended use. In addition, the cartridges for the two test liquids are large enough to allow a high number of measurements without needing refilling.
Software
The PCA 200 portable contact angle goniometer offers three options for control, device settings, and advanced analyses. The integrated computer enables autonomous measurements, the intuitive browser-accessible interface allows configuration of device parameters and export of measurement results, and the dpiMAX software enables advanced analyses and simple data management.
